
Laurent Schmitt
CEO
Laurent graduated from Sciences Po and has built a successful career at L’Oréal. Over the past 30 years, he has held a number of senior positions in finance and supply chain across different regions, including CFO Africa Middle East zone, CFO and Supply Chain Czech Republic, and General Manager L’Oréal Luxe Brazil. Since 2012, Laurent has been the head of the Corporate Finance Department L’Oréal worldwide, which includes M&A execution and Treasury and Asset portfolio activities as well as the general management of BOLD.

Samantha Etienne
General Manager
Prior to BOLD, Samantha was Global General Manager of Sephora Collection, Sephora’s brand, and member of the Sephora Executive Committee (2018-21). She has a background in brands, business, and beauty that she built through various positions at Sephora, Canal+ Group and L'Oréal. She graduated from ESSEC Business School.

Muriel Atias
Chief Investment Officer
Muriel serves as Chief Investment Officer of BOLD in charge of all execution aspects. She joined the L’Oréal Corporate Finance team in 2014 and has worked on a large number of acquisitions for the Group. Muriel brings an extensive eighteen-year experience in mergers & acquisitions and graduated from ESSEC Business School with a major in finance.

Presca Ahn
Investment Director
Prior to BOLD, Presca was an investor at the private equity fund Five Arrows. Previously, she had been an investment banker at Rothschild & Co. During her earlier career, she was a curator and museum director. Presca is a graduate with distinction of Yale College (BA) and the London School of Economics (MSc), the latter as a Fulbright Scholar. She also holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Julie Pelcener
Investment Director
Julie started her career in M&A, in the Consumer team of UBS London. She then joined Perwyn, a Private Equity firm focusing on mid-cap deals. At Perwyn, she was part of the firm's Paris office opening and was involved in numerous consumer deals.

Camille Jaegle-Pons
Associate General Counsel
After passing the bar in 2007 in Paris, and after working as an associate in the corporate department of law firms such as Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Bird & Bird, Camille advised French and foreign companies and investment funds on a wide range of strategic corporate transactions.
In 2015, Camille joined Bpifrance Investissement to advise investment funds under Bpifrance’s management. She developed, in particular, a very specific knowledge of venture capital and fundraising by private equity investment funds.

Filippo Principi
Platform Manager
Prior to joining BOLD, Filippo accumulated 5 years of experience in the innovation departments of different multinational organizations (Vodafone, Adecco Group, AB InBev), contributing to launching and scaling new ventures. Filippo holds a MSc in Management Engineering from Polytechnic University of Milan and an MBA from INSEAD.

Corinne Benissan
Executive Assistant
Corinne has been working at L'Oréal with VPs in various divisions since 2014 and joined the BOLD team in 2020. Corinne has 20+ years of experience in bilingual business environment. Corinne holds a Master’s degree in English study and graduated from Université de Vincennes (Paris VIII).
